WICKED - Sept. 24 2009

WICKED
So I got the opportunity to go see Wicked in Seattle with a great group of Ladies from our Ward. It was such a fun night and much needed. I have a great group of Ladies that we get together for playgroups and girl's nights. So it was awesome to dress up and really spoil ourselves. We went out to the Cheesecake Factory before the show and then enjoyed an amazing show. I didn't know the music or anything but I had read the book. The musical is different then the book and I really enjoyed it.
For those of you have seen WICKED, the song Defy Gravity has become my Theme Song!

Build & Grow @ Lowes

This summer we discovered Build & Grow sponsored by Lowes. It is a free workshop for children where they can build different things from Kits they provide. Lowes also gives them a work apron, safety goggles and badges for their aprons for each project completed. The big boys went to the first one in July with Grandpa and made wooden boats, and they loved it! So we decided to make a routine of it. Colin spotted a boy with about 15 patches and said "can I build that many things so I have all those patches too?" So we are working on it. It is every 2nd & 4th Saturday and so far we have done 3 projects and can't wait for the next one. The boys have built boats, drums and fire engines and they proudly display and play with them. We have shared our excitement for this opportunity with a few friends and are excited that they have joined us. The pictures below our of two different times, one where we made drums and the other we made fire trucks. We actually had our Friends the Hall's visiting from Ellensburg that weekend and loved having them come with us. Ethan their oldest, is only 2 weeks older then Colin and we have now them sense the boys were 8 months or so.
