Bainbridge Island Part 1 ~ April 7

Spring Break continued with a fun packed day trip to Bainbridge Island with the McReyonlds. Megan researched all these fun little places to go and we had a blast. I can't believe I haven't been up there before. We found a childrens museum that was actually having a free day, a park with a mock boat (at least the front of it), an ice cream parlor, and a fun toy store. And that was just the beginning! I split this post into 2 because I just couldn't narrow down the pictures.

After a beautiful ride up over the Tacoma Narrow's Bridge and great conversation we arrived!!

The beginning of the day was rainy so we ended up eating lunch in the car!!
Not that the kids minded!!

Start of Spring Break ~ April 4 & 5

Spring Break started out with our Church's worldwide general conference. I am still wondering how my Mom was able to get 6 children to sit at church for 2 hours and that is 4 sessions of 2 hours in 2 days. Now we can watch from home but that doesn't make it much simpler for having 3 boys. So one thing that I have continued from my youth is the semi annual trip to Dairy Queen for FHE Monday night. This has really helped the older boys to try and stay focused and work on coloring pictures. Thankful this year my Sister's mother in law sent some really cool scriptures story pictures for them to color and they loved that.
So Monday night we headed to Dairy Queen with our Friends the McRenold's. Colin and Joel have be come best friends this year. Sharing more then just their class at school and church but also their Birthdays.
**Pictures taken with iphone just a bit blurry!

Yes those are banana splits and they each finished them.

Colby enjoying his blizzard!

On Tuesday we had a playgroup. And I realized how much I miss them. I used to have them all the time and then the boys started school and life got crazy. So it was so nice to see all the kids play and I got to enjoy some good conversation. Not just the "hi, how are you?" as we pass each other in the hall at church.

The Tree House Grandpa has built for the Grand kids.

Conner, Courtney and Colby.

Yep no training wheels for this boy!!!
Still working on starting by himself.

Hava, Brigg and Baby Luke

The Boys were so excited that Hava and Brigg came into town and we have been so lucky to have them for six weeks. Brigg was doing a pharmaceutical rotation here at Group Health. While the boys were glad to have Brigg here so they could have light-saber Duels, I have loved having Hava and Luke here. Most of these pictures are from the first few days, the last two are from the last week or so. There are more of Luke to come in other blog posts.

Luke and I. He is just so cute!!

Smile Luke!

Hava and Luke. She is a great Mom!!!

Colby wasn't sure what to do with Luke at first but he was fascinated by that Pacifier.

Now Colby loves Luke and every time Hava comes over from the Turner's House he says "my friend Luke is here." Luke will have lots of protection from that one.

Basketball - March 23, 2011

Colin has taken an interest in Basketball. With some tips from Grandpa and his Uncle Brigg here, he has learned to shoot well for a 7 year old. Any non-rainy day he is out shooting and I am looking forward to having him join a team next winter. He was so excited that Brigg was willing to play with him and I wish I had taken pictures of that but it is great to see his interest and skill grow. So below are a few shots I got!!

Sledding ~ Feb. 2011

Yes almost 2 months later after Christmas.....January passed us by without me taking one picture. January wasn't uneventful it was just full of the everyday routine that took over. Also Statistics and Business Calculus just killed me.
I promised the boys that I would take them sledding!!! And Grandpa bought them a sled for Christmas so I knew we had to go. I was leery on going back up to Paradise again because of how busy it gets and my boys didn't really like the big hill. So when I heard about the campsite up on White Pass that our Church owns and how perfect it is for a snowy day, we just had to go. The original plan was to stay overnight in their cabins but with my school schedule we decided to just go on a day trip and check out the site first. It was a great day. The sledding hill while not big was perfect for my boys, even a little slick. But we had it to our selves. Yep that is right no one else was there. Colby was my most fearless...after going down once with Grandma he wouldn't let anyone else go with him. And the best part is that he made sound affects.....yes you read that right sound affects. Priceless!!!! Conner was up and going just as quickly. Colin had a few false starts and that was because the new sled that we had bought was just to fast and you slid right off it. I know because I tried. It was a great day and next year we will stay over night!!

Christmas Day ~ 2010

There is so much to say about Christmas Day, that I think I am going to keep the words to a minimum. It was a wonderful day and I took few pictures because I really wanted to be a part of it. I tend to get to focused on the camera and miss the moments I should be in. So here are some of the few shots I took.
