Day 3 cont. ~ Family Pictures and Fun Times

After Graduation I had Sierra, Brigg and Hava take some family pictures for me. I really need to get some updated ones. Sierra is the actually photographer and Brigg and Hava made the boys laugh. (Mostly by tormenting Sierra) I think some actually turned out well. It is hard to get all three boys smiling and looking the right way at the same time. After pictures we had some fun playing and taking a walk to visit the Sundance Stables.

Too Much Sun and a Grumpy need a nap Colby.

Much better. I love my three boys.

My favorite Trees are aspen and they were everywhere.
I love this photo of the Boys.

Brigg tossing pillows at the boys from Upstairs.
They were laughing so hard.

Hiking, we did lots of it.

Day 3 ~ Hava Graduation from the College of Humanities ~ August 13

Friday morning we headed down to BYU for Havalah's Graduation from The Humanities College. It was great for the boys to see the recognition that you get after hard work pays off. Hava has worked hard for this degree and is the second Burton Sibling to have graduated with her Bachelors Degree and from BYU. We are so proud of Hava as she finished up with classes as an independent Student living in Pennsylvania. And she graduated just in time to start the next and greatest step in her life as a Mother. Hava is 17 weeks along at this point. Not that we could tell at all.

Hava, glad to be done and ready to start the next step in her life, as a Mother.

My boys and I with Hava and Brigg

Myself and three younger siblings. David, Hava and Sierra in order of age.

The whole group that was there at the graduation. Our family and My Mom's Mom and two of our 2 of our Aunts. Holly and Merry, twins!

I couldn't help take this picture the boys did so well!

We took lots of jumping photos.
The boys really tried hard to jump at the right time but this is the best we got.

Trip To Utah ~ Day 1 & 2 ~ Hava Graduates and "Mice"

August 11, Found us waking up at 5 in the morning to head to Utah for Havalah's Graduation and a Burton Family reunion. The boys were great the whole trip while we drove with 2 cars and 4 drivers. We stayed at Dan and Britt's Wednesday night and the boys had fun playing with Abby in the morning and wrestling with Uncle David and Uncle Brigg. Whom they hadn't seen in forever.
August 12, Hava attended her commencement Ceremony at BYU. This was the entire graduation class at BYU and so I waited to attend the individual humanity's ceremony the next day because it was smaller and because she would be called out then.

Dad, Hava, Abby and Mom!

That afternoon we checked into the cabin that my Dad rented up in Sundance. The place was amazing and big enough for all of us. All my siblings were there except Joy who we missed terribly!!!

Here we are all sitting around eating ice cream.

Now I know you are all wondering why "Mice" is in the title of this post. Well because after the kids were all in bed and we were just talking we saw one.....no two running through the room. So at first we all questioned are sanity and then Brigg and I went on a mouse hunt. While Hava and Mom watched from the Balcony over looking the room and Sierra stood on the table taking pictures and recording the scene for posterity. Dad and David were outside walking around and missed all the fun. These were no ordinary mice. They climbed walls and leaped upstairs.....believe me I have 3 other witnesses. Those mice were very sneaky and agile. One went up the corner of the two walls and across the windows sills to the other side of the room. We finally scared that one out the door. The other leaped up the stairs to the other living room and then we believed we scared it outside but another showed up 2 days later so who knows it might have found a really good hiding place. But it caused much laughter and even a few startled screams. (Mom) Just don't tell her I told you that.

Brigg and I trying to scare the mice out. Brigg was trying to eliminate hiding places.
We did leave the room completely upset so Grandpa would be confused.

Mom and Hava watching from a safe distance or so they thought.
Until they realized stairs didn't impede these mice.

Mariners Game ~ August 5

Sierra really wanted to go to a Mariner's game while she was home. Last time we went to a game it was just my parents, Sierra and I and we sat 3 rows behind home plate (because my Dad got tickets through his work). It was an amazing experience. This time we took the boys and bought cheap seats. And it was just as fun to sit up and opposite where we sat before. The boys really enjoyed the experience too I think. Colin enjoyed asking Grandpa questions about the game. Conner had fun goofing off with Sierra and Colby, well Colby enjoyed the fact that the railroad tracks run right behind the field. Every time a train goes by the honk and Colby would bolt up and say train, and off we went to watch them. He loved it!

Colin, Conner and I. All the workers were handing out baseball cards. The boys loved it.

You see those seats about 3 rows up, that was us last time.
Yes I am using a zoom lens, I love it.

It was an amazing night sky!

Lacey 5th Ward Luau ~ July 31 2010

Lacey 5th Ward (A congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints) threw an amazing Luau. There was a whole pig donated and then cooked by the Samoan family in our ward. The food was amazing and so was the show!

Soccer Team Pictures ~ June 24th, 2010

Ok so I know we have see plenty of Soccer Pictures but I love watching my boys play. And being a Soccer Mom. I just wanted to share one last post know that they are done for the summer. Unfortunately the boys were sick for team pictures but our teams were nice enough for me to take some.

Conner's Team: The Blue Spiders

Conner really grew a lot over the six weeks, at first he only like practice and not games. He kept getting pushed and hurt but by the end he had warmed up and did great.

Sierra was able to come to their last couple of games and the boys loved it.
Playing Soccer with Colby and Colin.

What a goof ball....yes his face is a mess from fruit leather.
Bringing snacks for this monkey is the only way to keep him from the park or mostly the slide. So I can watch the game.

Colin's Team: The Hawk Kickoffs

Colin really picked up soccer quickly and loves it.
He went from being nervous to go after the ball into being an aggressive player.
His last game he finally scored a goal, it was pretty impressive.

Windfarm ~ Ellensburg day 4

Ellensburg, honestly the county of Kittitas has had Windmills put up around the borders of the valley because Ellensburg and Kittitas are know for their wind. I know their was a lot of different opinions about the wind-farm. But I saw it as a adding a beauty to the place. Take my picture from the last post, it just seemed to ad some thing to the skyline and helps with our energy needs. Well we went up to the small visitors center before we left Thursday and it was fun. Oh and Windy. Normally they will take you into a windmill to see the turbines but because the wind was over 50 miles an hour for safety reasons we didn't get the chance. Well it give us an excuse to go back. The boys loved playing in the wind, even Colby.

Colby really had to push against the wind to keep walking.

Left to Right: Conner, Ethan, Aubrey, Colin, Colby and Amiee
