Sledding ~ Feb. 2011

Yes almost 2 months later after Christmas.....January passed us by without me taking one picture. January wasn't uneventful it was just full of the everyday routine that took over. Also Statistics and Business Calculus just killed me.
I promised the boys that I would take them sledding!!! And Grandpa bought them a sled for Christmas so I knew we had to go. I was leery on going back up to Paradise again because of how busy it gets and my boys didn't really like the big hill. So when I heard about the campsite up on White Pass that our Church owns and how perfect it is for a snowy day, we just had to go. The original plan was to stay overnight in their cabins but with my school schedule we decided to just go on a day trip and check out the site first. It was a great day. The sledding hill while not big was perfect for my boys, even a little slick. But we had it to our selves. Yep that is right no one else was there. Colby was my most fearless...after going down once with Grandma he wouldn't let anyone else go with him. And the best part is that he made sound affects.....yes you read that right sound affects. Priceless!!!! Conner was up and going just as quickly. Colin had a few false starts and that was because the new sled that we had bought was just to fast and you slid right off it. I know because I tried. It was a great day and next year we will stay over night!!

Christmas Day ~ 2010

There is so much to say about Christmas Day, that I think I am going to keep the words to a minimum. It was a wonderful day and I took few pictures because I really wanted to be a part of it. I tend to get to focused on the camera and miss the moments I should be in. So here are some of the few shots I took.

Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve was a great day. Dan, Britt and Abby drove up on the 23rd and were able to join us and of course Sierra was home. It was a nice relaxing day and that is how I like it.

Skiing~ My personal Christmas Present December 22, 2010

It had been almost 7 years since my last skiing trip and I knew I needed to get back on the slope. So when I ran into my Visiting Teacher for 2 years before they redid our ward boundaries, I knew we had to set a date and go. She is a great skier and I knew I would have fun with her. It was an amazing time and I am so glad that I went. We had some great snow, not Utah snow but great for Washington. It took me a bit to get back into the groove but I swear I will never let a year go by without going at least once a season. Hopefully next year I can take the older boys out for a day, I think it maybe their Christmas gift!!! It would be great to ski with my boys!!

Visit to the Nielson's ~ Dec 18, 2010

0We were able to visit some other good friends from Ellensburg in the Month of December that now live up in Everett about an 1 hour and 1/2 away. I first met the Nielson's at church when I was pregnant with Colin and surprise she was pregnant with Drew. Colin is just a little over a month older then Drew and they are also fast friends. They have three kids also Carly and Molly are their younger 2 and close to the same age as Conner and Colby.
I forgot my camera so all the pictures I have are from my phone. And I wanted to post one of Colin and Drew together younger but I couldn't find any. Doesn't help that I have over 12,000 pictures on my computer. Also figured I might have one from before we had a digital camera. But it was a great visit the kids ran amuck and I learned how to make Tamales which were amazing.

The Halls

While in Ellensburg I met and gained a friendship with one of the sweetest ladies I know. And I am so grateful for all her efforts to stay in touch and be a support to me still. When we met her husband was just shipping out to Iraq and she was moving home to leave with her parents while he was gone. What do you know she had a little boy that was 2 weeks older then Colin. They were both around 7-8 months at the time. Those two boys have be come the best of friends even though we don't see them much so we were more then grateful to meet up in Tacoma for lunch one day in December. We met at Chuck E. Cheese which is not a favorite place of mine and this one was terrible compared to most but it was worth the craziness to see each other.
I have added a picture of Colin and Ethan when they were younger just because I can't believe how much they have grown.
