The Cox's ~ Ellensburg Day 4

Normally I would plan in advance on a trip but this was just a week before we left I decided that we should go. I didn't think about calling the Cox's because they live in Arizona and I know they visit family but I didn't think it would coincide with our visit. Much to my surprise the day before we left I found out they were actually in town. So we got a chance to see our good friends and pick right where we left off. Jaime and Stan are great friends. And the boys loved seeing their friends. I still am hearing about this trip and that we need to go back.

Colby loved the horses. He loved how their whiskers felt.

He would pull his hand away and giggle.

This is a picture from their front porch isn't that just relaxing.
Can you see the windmills on the hill? More about that on the next post.

Playgroup ~ Ellensburg Day 3

We were able to get together with some of the original playgroup from when we lived in Ellensburg. Some of our group is still there....though I missed seeing the Smith's but they were on Vacation. Luckily the Cox's were in town from Arizona visiting family, (we shared a wall for 4 years) we got to touch base with them also.

The Ramsey's ~ Day 2 Ellensburg WA

On Tuesday we were able to go have dinner with our good friends Josh and Jolie Ramsey. I have known them since the singles branch.....so for a long time. The boys had fun playing with their kids. It was great to see them....now if they just call me when they visit family here... :)

Ellensburg Visit ~ July 19, 2010

We took 4 days and visited our friends in Ellensburg, WA. Ellensburg is where Colin and Conner were born and where we have some great friends. We stayed with the Hall's and had a blast. Colin and Ethan their oldest are only 2 weeks apart and have know each other since they were 8 months old. They are still great friends and had a blast playing. These are pictures of the 1st day there.

Ocean Shores ~ July 15,2010

Ocean Shores
Note to self: Even if the weather says it will be high 70's with wind chill it is closer to the 60's.

But other then that we had a blast. Colby wasn't sure what to do with the water and wouldn't go near it. Luckily the other boys were more interested in building a sand castle so no one got wet until the end of the day. Which was great because they got good and wet. Then cold and ready to go home. A great Day!

Colby getting a good look at the Ocean.

Grandpa and Colby

Colin trying to reassure Colby

The boys were so glad that Grandpa built a Sand Castle with them

Finished Product

We had to build Colby his own Castle because he kept trying to destroy the big boys.

Conner has no fear!!

Colby following his brother's example

Even Colin finally joined in.

Colby would have just kept going, I kept having to pick him up and take him back in. The tide was coming in at this time and it kept getting to deep for him.

Fire station and Helmets ~ July 7, 2010

The Fire station
Our fire station has a program where it gives out free bike helmets and does fittings. A couple years ago my parents took Colin and Conner to get helmets and see the Fire Engines. Since then Conner has out grown and bent his helmet out of shaped and I had Colby. So we headed to the fire station because Grandpa is planning on taking off Conner's training wheels this summer and because Colby needs a new one for riding on the back of Grandpa's bike in the toddler seat.

Waiting for a fireman to give us a tour.

Colby was in heaven, he loved the helmet and the fire truck

Conner was also excited, the fire man was nice enough to find a blue one for him.

Colin was a great big brother and understanding why he didn't get a new helmet.
And he had some great questions for the fireman.

Colby loved the inside but the outside he wouldn't get near on his own. So Grandma helped out.

All Colin wants for Christmas is his two front Teeth ~

Colin has lost his two front teeth after weeks of being loose and asking if they were ready and then him not being ready they are out. Funny stories about how each came out.

June 26, 2010

The first one fell out when he decide to slid out of his seat belt instead of unbuckling it. On his way out he caught his tooth in his zipper and pulled it almost all the way out. Luckily we were at home and rushed him in to finish the job. He was more then glad after it was out.

July 7, 2010

Less then 2 weeks later after him refusing to let me pull his tooth out that was just dangling there. He was up in Grandma's arms dancing and slid down. While sliding down he somehow caught his tooth on her necklace and out it came. He was lucky we found it for the tooth fairy because he was outside. I am glad they are both out, I was done hearing how he couldn't eat things because his teeth hurt.

Now I need to take him to the dentist one of his bottom teeth is coming in and the tooth it needs to replace isn't even loose at all.
